The challenge

Why this work matters

The challenges we work on — education inequality, digital exclusion, poverty and gender barriers — are too large for any single organisation. Lasting progress needs informed communities and organisations working together.

Our intent

ABFAED will advocate for the inclusion of vulnerable children, young people and women, and work through partnerships with communities, institutions and other organisations.

Focus areas

What this pillar will address

  • Advocacy and awareness

Speaking up for the inclusion of people excluded because of poverty, gender, disability or other disadvantages.

  • Local and institutional partnerships

Working with communities, schools, NGOs, government and the private sector to deliver programmes responsibly and at scale.

  • Learning and evidence

Sharing what we learn and building the evidence needed to improve programmes over time.

Measuring progress

Indicators we intend to track

Results will be published once programmes begin and data can be verified. Indicators will be refined with partners during programme design.

  • Active programme partnerships
  • Community advocacy and awareness activities delivered
  • Learning and reports published
